I'm not entirely sure what that entails

I sign on to my ISP (NetZero) on a dial-up connection. After my log-on is approved, Internet Explorer pops up, with the contents of NetZeros' homepage on it. That's a new browser, right?

Now I click on "Favorites" and click on the SSB link. Internet Explorer takes me to SSB. Now, when I get there, am I using an "old" browser, or is it still a "new" browser? When does a new browser get "old"?

Or are you saying I should open a SECOND browser just to get to SSB? How do I do that? Is it common for everyone visiting every web-site on the planet to open a new (I mean, second) browser every time they navigate to a different site? If it's not the normal procedure, why in the world are we doing it here?

I'm not angry, but I'm perplexed and frustrated as hell, that's for sure.
